Who are we...?

Originally based in Tonbridge, Kent, Deacon was established in 1964 by Robert Hales as a general construction company. Over the years it expanded into commercial development and investment.

The company is now run by Robert's son Nick and grandson Tom.

Whilst still engaged in commercial development the focus is now on house building. Both Nick and Tom are passionate about creating stylish new homes of the highest quality incorporating new technologies and specifications fit for the 21st century.

We are constantly planning the next development and have several exciting new projects lined up for the future.

As Deacon Homes is a local Kent based company we are very familiar with our region and this in-depth knowledge enables us to select the best sites to develop for our discerning customers.

We have a design philosophy...

Each of our developments is different, and we evolve the design of each project carefully in order to deliver buildings and landscapes that sit comfortably in their surroundings and enhance their environment.

We work with a talented team of designers, architects, landscape architects, engineers and environmental consultants to a deliver a varied range of homes.

Our designs vary from traditional to more contemporary styles but each is individually tailored to its location and surroundings.

All our homes are constructed using superior quality materials and products which are carefully sourced from our range of tried and tested suppliers. From roof tiles to the taps on the bath, every selection is important to us to ensure the highest standards are maintained.

 

Build quality...

Many new home builders use different tradesmen and sub contractors on every project, this can lead to poor quality work which is often associated with new build developments. At Deacon Homes we use the same high quality tradesmen who we have been working with for many years. All developments are overseen by the site manager, Tom, who strives to deliver the highest quality finishes and standards on every build.

 

We include technology as standard...

Energy efficiency is paramount and we achieve the highest standards by design and specification of the most advanced materials and systems available. This means lower impact on the environment and lower running costs for our customers.

In addition to energy technology we install communications and performance technology infrastructure in our homes to ensure they are suitable not only for today standards of modern living but also have the capacity for future addition and upgrade.

And after it`s all done...

At completion of the construction of our homes we then become fully involved working with our estate agents, legal team and our customers to ensure there is a smooth and efficient purchase process.

When our customers move in we show them how the building works and provide an easily understandable building and maintenance manual.

And iT doesn't end there...

For the first 2 years after completion we remain on hand to deal with any matters that might arise and in addition provide every customer with a fully insured 10 year building warranty for longer term peace of mind.
